About Me

I am a local artist/designer. I was born in 1974 in Cambodia. In 1982 my family and I fled the war. We stayed in five refugee camps in Thailand and the Philippines. We arrived in The United States in 1988. We first settled in Wichita Kansas for about six month then relocated to Tacoma Washington. I am the youngest of eleven.

My creativity started to manifest at the age of six when I began to use chalk to draw on the walls.I have taken several art classes in high school and college. But I am mostly self-taught.

Several of my original oil paintings were exhibited in shows during my stay in the refugee camps in the Thailand and the Philiphines (1982-988). I like working with oil, acrylic,water color, and charcoal. 

 Besides painting, I am also an established fashion jewelry designer, specializing wire wrapped semi- precious stones.

In 2018, I started to learn how to sew and design clothes and recently Launched my own brand Patrick Kdep. I designed and sew bags, scarfs and men’s and women’s apparels. 

On Saturday August 20th, 2022, I did a collaboration Fashion show with another designer Brittany M. where we showcased haute couture bags, jewelry and apparel . Recently, I launched Patrickkdep.com.
